Reported Crimes On The Ward |
||
|
Hello all,
Here is an update on what has been happening on the ward over the past week.
Officers responded to a call where a car was stolen in Richmond and the owner was tracking its location. The vehicle was tracked to an alley way in West London. The vehicle was displaying false plates but after some checks, it was identified by officers with the help of the rightful owner who had kept officers updated with the location of the vehicle. The interior of the vehicle had been damaged and it was left parked in an alley way. This is common behaviour associated with vehicle theft, where offenders abandon the car temporarily to check for tracking devices and monitor whether anyone returns to retrieve it. The vehicle was returned to its rightful owner.
There were two reports of theft from a motor vehicle. Both vehicles had electrical components stolen from the interior of the vehicle.
An attempted burglary had been reported where the victim heard two suspects knock on their front door and then attempt to kick it open. The initial knock on the door was likely to check if anyone was home before attempting to break in. The suspects then ran off and got into a van that immediately drove off. They were likely spooked after realising that someone was home.
There was one report of a burglary on The Green. Officers attended and spoke to the victim who had seen the suspect flee from the property however, nothing was reported to have been taken from the property.
Stay safe and remain vigilant.
Thanks. | ||
